PAIN Exhibit's Reformation
Achieving Non-Profit Status

Along with a redesign and technological update of the PAIN Exhibit website, the online educational, visual arts exhibit from artists with chronic pain, has now obtained federal non-profit status. PAIN Exhibit, Inc. was established June 15, 2012 as a California Non-Profit Public Benefit Corporation, under tax code 501(c)(3).

OUR MISSION IS TO EDUCATE HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS AND THE PUBLIC ABOUT CHRONIC PAIN THROUGH ART AND TO GIVE A VOICE TO THE MANY WHO SUFFER IN SILENCE.
Our mission is to educate healthcare providers and the public about chronic pain through art and to give a voice to the many who suffer in silence. The immediate goals of the organization are to continue to improve and update the website, expand the art collection, and increase viewership. Mid-term objectives include translating the website into multiple languages starting with Spanish, developing an educational brochure for healthcare providers and people with pain, and creating a PAIN Exhibit book. Touring an exhibit and making a documentary about the artists and art from PAIN Exhibit, Inc. are long-term goals.
