Bleeding Hate was created to describe the anguish and pain associated with the monthly menstrual cycle. I feel hatred for experiencing infertility, the physical pain experienced monthly and also the emotional pain of not being understood and taken seriously. Every month I feel as though I want to cut my uterus out and symbolically doing it through art relieved some of that tension. The words HATE were created using dull razors and embedded in red wax dripped over a photograph.
